A Quick Deep Cleaning Checklist for a Dirty Home

Happy young couple cleaning home together

Did you know that a tidy home gives a sense of accomplishment to 70% of Americans?

Cleaning your home doesn’t need to be daunting. When you sit down with a deep cleaning checklist, even the messiest house can be shiny and clean in no time.

Start a deep cleaning regularly, then pick and choose extra cleaning when you feel your house needs it.

Here are some cleaning tasks to check off at your house this week.

Start by Decluttering

Everyone knows that deep cleaning is necessary from time to time, but not everyone knows how to go about it. This deep cleaning checklist for a dirty home will help you get started and make the process as efficient as possible.

The first step is to declutter. This will help you clean more effectively and prevent you from having to move around a lot of stuff while you’re trying to clean. The less stuff you have, the less there is to clean.

Clean the Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home, so it’s important to keep it clean and clutter-free. Use this deep cleaning checklist to get your kitchen in tip-top shape.

Start with the sink, and scrub away any dried-on food or grime with a non-abrasive cleaner. Next, wipe down all the countertops and appliances. Don’t forget to clean the inside of the fridge and oven!

Floors are next on the list. Sweep and mop tile or vinyl floors, and vacuum carpets. Don’t forget to move appliances and furniture to clean those hard-to-reach spots.

Move On to the Bathrooms

Disinfect all surfaces, including toilets, sinks, countertops, and tubs. Scrub the toilets and wipe down the inside of the bowl. Shower curtains and liner should be washed in hot water and bleach.

Tubs and showers should be scrubbed clean. Sinks should be scrubbed and shiny. All tile and grout should be scrubbed clean, too.

Don’t forget to clean light fixtures, mirrors, and towel racks. Once you’ve scrubbed everything clean, be sure to disinfect all surfaces one last time.

Dust All Surfaces

Get into all the nooks and crannies where dust likes to hide. This includes furniture, paintings, shelves, and any other surfaces that tend to collect dust. Be sure to use a clean, dry cloth to avoid spreading dust around.

Once all surfaces are dusted, it’s time to vacuum. Vacuum all carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.

If you have hardwood floors, vacuum them as well. Be sure to empty the vacuum bag or canister after each use.

Now it’s time to clean all the floors. Start with the kitchen and bathroom floors, as these are usually the dirtiest. If you have tile or linoleum floors, you can mop them with a mild soap and water solution.

If you want to save time, you can hire Dirt Busters House Cleaning. They provide you with peace of mind by screening, bonding, and insuring their employees.

Following a Deep Cleaning Checklist

If your home is feeling a little dirty and cluttered, use this quick deep cleaning checklist to get things back in order. In just a few hours, you can have a clean and comfortable home that you can be proud of.

Plus, a clean home can lead to a more relaxing and stress-free life. So, set some time aside and go through deep cleaning your beautiful home.
